[WATCH] Lifetime’s Aaliyah Biopic Trailer

We finally get a glimpse of the Aaliyah biopic that has been in the making for many years now. The biopic will be shown on Lifetime and is produced by Wendy Williams. Wendy got involved after Zendaya( I think that’s how you spell her name) dropped out.

The new young woman playing Aaliyah is Alexandria Ship, not really familiar with who she is. She does look more like Aaliyah. On Wendy Williams Show talk show she hinted that we would see a young Aaliyah, how she met R. Kelly, and what her parents thought of Kelly. She said the plane crash would not be highlighted. Thank you I didn’t need that in my life.

I can’t say I really needed a Aaliyah biopic, but I’ll watch and see what I think. Lifetime normally does a decent job on movies of this type, with the exception of the Elizabeth Taylor story.
